So, I graduated in May of 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic. Applied for jobs, repeatedly. I didn’t get called except for once from Las Vegas Magazine who said I could write for them, but they wouldn’t pay me. Well, that was better than nothing. Covid life took its toll on all of us.
Now it’s May 2021, a year later. I looked at my resume and decided that I should do a google search to see what others were using for their resumes. Well, my resume was not set up at all for a Freelance Writer. Ok, easy, redo it.
Redid my resume and spent the last week doing writing samples for people looking for Freelance Writers. WHAT? Ok it’s either the economy is back, or my resume was messed up or both. Doesn’t matter. People are interested in me writing for them and paying me for it! LOL
Not sure what this week will have in store for me, but I am set with my resume and a plan. Hoping to have some more customers by June. I still think of the conversation with my mom about writing. Had to admit to her that I can’t believe I’m living my dream. Love writing!
